Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our clients’ dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the manufacturing industry and experience working with and integrating ERP systems. The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the efficient operation of financial activities.

Hours: 8a-5p

Pay: $60,000-$70,000

Financial Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements.

ERP System

  • Assist with implementation of ERP systems to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems with existing processes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on ERP system functionalities and best practices.

Compliance and Audit

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including GAAP.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and reviews, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is provided.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Develop, manage, and oversee the annual budgeting process.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance and areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor accounting/office staff, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the accounting department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for accounting team members.

Job Requirements

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems integration and management.
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
