Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a small custom shop that averages roughly (30) setups on each brake per day. Successful candidates will need to not only have experience running a press brake, but also experience setting up parts of varying difficulty, thicknesses, and grades. A great work ethic and attention to detail is a must!
 
The ideal applicant should be a fully-proficient operator who is familiar with bend allowance and should be able to tell by looking at a print, what kind of tooling setup they would need to run a part.
 
Schedule: 3pm - 1:30am, will train on days 7am - 3:30pm for first few weeks
 
Responsibilities:
  • Initial setup, edit and operate multiple press brake machines
  • Read / interpret BOMs or blueprints and select appropriate materials
  • Quality inspection of finished products
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Move materials as needed using a forklift
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in all departments

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • (5+) years of experience operating press brake machines
  • Strong understanding of reading / interpreting blueprints or schematics
  • Experience with multiple CNC press brakes (Amada and Dener experience preferred)
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, measuring tables, protractors etc.
  • Able to recognize and diagnose issues with flat patterns before and after forming
  • Able to identify material by sight (carbon, stainless, aluminum)
  • Understanding of BOM’s, picklist, routers (travelers)
