2nd Shift Cooler Department Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 2nd Shift Cooler Department Supervisor to oversee operations within a cooler manufacturing department in Sapulpa, OK. This role is ideal for a hands on leader with extensive experience in air cooled heat exchangers and a strong understanding of fabrication and production workflows.
Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Pay: $25 to $28 per hour, DOE
Position Overview
The Cooler Department Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating production activities related to air cooled heat exchanger fabrication and assembly. This position ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards while supporting and guiding production staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the cooler department
- Oversee fabrication and assembly of air cooled heat exchangers
- Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals are met
- Monitor workflow and address production or quality issues as they arise
- Provide technical guidance related to cooler construction and fabrication
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe, organized work environment
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
- Assist with training and development of department personnel
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and needs to management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and productivity
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with air cooled heat exchangers required
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of welding and cooler structure fabrication strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands on mechanical and fabrication aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot production and quality related issues
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Physical and Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and fabrication processes
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials as required
