Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality TIG welding, with MIG welding as a secondary skill.

• Operate shop equipment including press brakes, metal shears, and metal rolls safely and efficiently.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to produce precise sheet metal components.

• Layout, measure, and mark sheet metal for cutting, bending, and forming operations.

• Fabricate complex sheet metal parts, assemblies, and structures from flat stock to finished product.

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure work meets specifications and tolerances.

• Maintain and calibrate equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments to ensure accurate results.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and team members to solve fabrication challenges.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Multiple years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience in a professional shop environment.

• Expert TIG welding skills; MIG welding experience preferred.

• Proficient in operating press brakes, metal shears, and metal rolls.

• Strong layout and measuring skills, with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and drawings.

• Familiarity with different metals and material properties.

• Knowledge of welding symbols, tolerances, and industry fabrication standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
