Job Description
We have an industry-leading and innovative company in Tulsa, OK that is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laser Operator to join their dynamic manufacturing team. As a Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, utilizing advanced laser machinery to cut and shape various metal materials for component parts.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Laser Cutting Machinery: Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC laser cutting machines to accurately and efficiently cut metal materials according to specified dimensions and product requirements.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials for cutting, ensuring proper alignment and positioning to optimize material usage and minimize waste.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and troubleshoot any minor issues that may arise during production.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy, precision, and quality adherence, ensuring all products meet or exceed our stringent standards.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Work with Production Team: Collaborate with other members of the production team to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production data, including materials used, production output, and any relevant notes for future reference.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity within the laser cutting department.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience and Expertise: Proven experience as a Laser Operator with a track record of operating CNC laser cutting machines, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and programming CNC laser cutting machines, along with a sound understanding of machine setup and maintenance.
- Material Knowledge: Familiarity with various metal materials, their properties, and how to optimize laser cutting parameters for each type.
- Precision and Attention to Detail: Strong ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring accurate cutting and quality finished products.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues related to laser cutting, making adjustments as needed to maintain production flow.
