Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced CDL A Driver for a premier sod farm company located in the Claremore area!
As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of materials, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service to customers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a commercial truck, pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with big rolls of sod. In addition to transporting sod from our harvesting site to project sites, drivers may also be required to operate water trucks for field irrigation during the summer / fall seasons.
Pay: $18 - $22/hr
Schedule: 6:30a start time - Warmer season will typically have increased OT
Benefits: Full benefits once permanent: medical, dental, vision, life & 401K matching after (1) year
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Load sod onto flatbed trailers at the harvesting site and securely strap down loads.
- Transport materials to designated project sites safely and efficiently.
- Unload sod at project sites with the assistance of on-site employees.
- Return to the harvesting site to reload as needed.
- Operate water trucks for field irrigation (training provided if necessary).
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of (3) years verifiable CDL A driving experience.
- Ability to operate standard transmission trucks (no automatic restriction).
- Valid Class A Driver’s License.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass DOT Drug Test.
- Physically able to strap loads down.
- Front-end loader experience preferred.
- Must be at least (21) years of age.
